At Cat’s Cocoon ASBL, we believe every abandoned or mistreated cat deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to live without fear.
Founded in 2017 in Mouscron, Belgium, we are a registered nonprofit (BE 0670 613 557) and an approved animal refuge (HK30504248).
Our mission is simple: rescue, care for, and rehome cats in need — while building a community that values and protects them.
From our base at Avenue du Parc 61, 7700 Mouscron, we coordinate adoptions, manage veterinary care, and work hand in hand with foster families, volunteers, and local partners to give every cat a new start.
What We Do
Across Belgium — and here in Mouscron — many cats live without shelter, vet care, or kindness. At Cat’s Cocoon, we act to change that through direct, compassionate action:
🐾 Rescue & Shelter
We welcome abandoned, lost, or neglected cats into a safe environment where they can rest, receive treatment, and begin their journey toward adoption.
🏡 Foster Care
Cats that need extra attention — whether recovering from illness, too young to fend for themselves, or traumatised — are placed in foster homes where they receive warmth, food, and socialisation.
🐱 Responsible Adoption
Once ready, our cats are matched with loving homes. We carefully screen adopters to ensure a secure and lasting placement.
📣 Community Outreach
We raise awareness in Mouscron and surrounding areas about responsible cat ownership, sterilisation, and the importance of adopting rather than buying.
🤝 Partnerships
We collaborate with other associations, veterinary clinics, and municipalities to maximise our reach and impact.

Who We Are
Cat’s Cocoon ASBL is run by a small but dedicated team of volunteers:

They are supported by a network of foster families, adopters, and supporters — people who open their homes and hearts to give cats a brighter future.
